Top Ten Items to Pack for Your Summer Vacation

For most people summer plans are the highlight of the year. Don't stress when it comes to packing. Here's a list of essentials for your vacation.
1. First things first, pack your swim suits. They don't take up much space, think of them like your day time wardrobe.
2. Pack a Sarong for the beach. Wear a sarong as a skirt on the beach or as a shawl when the weather cools down.
3. Shoe's are the hardest to pack personally. You may be like me and want to bring a different pair for every outfit, when really we need to limit ourselves! Bring a flat that is beach friendly, a pair of heels for a night out, & a casual pair of sandals for a shopping day. Three-four pairs should be more then enough for a week get away.
4. Next are your shorts. You want comfortable and light bottoms, khaki & white are great colors for summer shorts.
5. Bag it. No need to bring  multiple handbags, pack a clutch on top of your everyday purse.
6. Accessories. Pack two necklaces, one dressy & one casual. A fabulous beach hat. One great pair of sunglasses. A chunky bracelet & last but not least a neutral belt.
7. Wrinkle free dress.  Your going to want to bring at least one for that fun dinner date night out.
8. Tunic Time. Tunics can be worn many ways, such as a beach cover up or with leggings and heels for a night out.
9. Always pack a jacket. You never know when they weather is going to change and get a little chilly.
10. Most important. Don't forget your camera! like I said vacations are the highlight of the year, be sure to capture the moments.

Don't Let Your Purse Weigh You Down

1. First things first, seek out the right shaped bag. Purses can get heavy so search for a lightweight bag with a wider strap to help distribute the weight. Thinner straps end up digging into your arm or shoulder, which can create pain after a while.

2. Only carry your "essentials." Most of us carry objects in our bag that we do not use throughout the day. Keep your heavier items such as a make-up bag in your car instead of lagging it around town. If you're a mama we understand you want to have everything available for your baby, just think what you will need for that time your out of the house.

3. Handle with Care. Choose a short handled bag over a long strapped one unless it's a cross body bag (which are awesome!) Regularly alternating shoulders helps ease tension in your back, neck & shoulders.

We just received a shipment of clutches & cross body bags from Cleo Bella Handbags. Come check them out, the girls at Roka will help you find your perfect bag.
